One Step Behind Life

I apologise for my long absence from all things blogging. In truth, I've come and stared at the blank page a few times in the last week, but I haven't had anything to write. It's not that life has been boring - it hasn't. It's just so crazy and awful right now I don't know what to write.

I'm here to announce officially that I will be taking a period of leave from blogging (for about two or so weeks), apart from my Music Monday posts. I promise it's nothing to be concerned about, but even so, sending a prayer heavenward for me each morning would be appreciated :)

Music Monday: Lost Cause

"Wait, no one said what's lost cannot be found
You are here to make it safe and sound"

I Miss You In Numbers

I slapped this poem together. It's not very good, but this is poetry. I'm not convinced anyone really knows what good poetry is. I certainly don't. In fact, the world of poems is a mystery to me. I rarely, if ever, write any.

Oh well. Haters gonna hate: Proverbs 9:8

How true is this?

It's ironic you need a screen to watch this, however, this spoken poem really impacted me.

Music Monday: What A Wonderful World

"I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world."
- What A Wonderful World, by Michael Buble

Character Development: Ally II

Today I would like to finish the questions for Ally, and introduce you to yet another character (I know, it seems never ending!),  Molly!

A reminder about Ally...
Ally has been struggling with bulimia and anorexia for almost 4 years. She and her brother, Heman attend the Christian group at Middleking every week. Ally has given her life to God, but still struggles with her self-worth. She loves to sing, but often her eating habits cause her voice to fade or crack. Her brother Heman is trying to help her, as doctors have failed. Ally is generally very friendly and is more likely to judge herself than those around her. Her red hair often causes people to remember her from their first meeting. Ally has kept her eating disorders a secret from those around her.

Hi May!

Oh my, I can't believe we have already entered the 5th month of 2014! It feels like it was only yesterday I was waking up to he first of January, excited to have made it to another new year, and full of plans to make 2014 my best year yet.

Am I writing the wrong book?

I signed up for Camp NaNoWriMo in advance. I was so excited! I decided to aim for 20,000 words and slapped out a profile, copy and pasted an extract and added in a picture. Then I lent back and admired my handiwork.
I was ready for camp!

Music Monday: Little Talks

"You're gone, gone, gone away
I watched you disappear
All that's left is the ghost of you.
Now we're torn, torn, torn apart,
There's nothing we can do"
- Little Talks, by Of Monsters and Men

Character Development: Ally

Today I would like to start on the questions for Ally, remember you can leave any questions in the comments :)

A quick bio about Ally...
Her red hair (I could hardly not have a character with red hair!) often causes people to remember her from their first meeting. Ally has kept her eating disorders a secret from those around her.
