Life Recently

Sometimes people are beautiful. Not in looks. Not in what they say. Just in what they are.
―Markus Zusak

Recklessly writing,
Travel,
Trying to catch the suspended moments of time in my mind,
Twenty One Pilots & Imagine Dragons,
Late, late nights and blurry mornings,
Bad selfies,
Being alive by living in the moment.

Remembering to smile,
Standing in the first of the Autumn rain,
Curling up with Hunter and smiling at his sleepy face,
Dreaming of the places I will go,
Reading Fiona Kidman's poetry,
Organising to see friends,
Being alive by catching my breath.

Tell me about your favourite music! I'd love some new bands to listen to. Also, what have you been up to on your winter break (or spring?)? Are you an early morning person or a night owl?

Opal LOVES the rain. She stood outside for ages because she's weird like that. Rain on the roof, wet hair, puddles, fluffy jerseys. It does make running and football practise hard though #TheAwkwardTimeOpalTriedToPractiseOnDampGrass

    1. YES. And yes to the rain :) I'd love yours- I don't mind not having the sun, in fact my poor pale skin would love it :P

  2. First off, this post was epic because any post that begins with a Markus Zusak quote has to be epic. As for bands, I heartily agree on the Imagine Dragons love. I also like The Civil Wars, The Oh Hellos, Kye Kye, Everything Everything, the TRON LEGACY soundtrack, and so much more. I hope those help--I know how hard it is sometimes to find new/good music.

Over spring break, which I actually haven't had yet, I plan to read a bunch and catch up on all the neglected things which I have...neglected. Yeah. Moving on. As for night owl/morning person, I am, sadly, both...at the same time. Which makes things interesting.

    Thanks for sharing!

    1. YAY. We all need more Imagine Dragons in our lives! The Civil Wars is one I hear about quite often, so I'll defiantly give them a try, thanks!
I hope you manage to catch up with your neglected things :)
HOW?? That must make life difficult :o

  3. haha rain? NOPE. Not really a big fan of rain over here, and it's been so dreary all day. I personally don't mind rain if it's all cozy inside and clean and I have a good book or good movie to watch and it's all so perfect...but half the time that never happens and it's just dreary. <---- that was all about winter rains though. In the summer, T-storms and rains are perfect though. Standing outside, listening to the pitter patter of the million minute rain drops falling on the roof....ahh

Hmm...I don't know... I love listening to music, but I'm having a current mind blank. whoops -_- Loved this post! The last line though was so awesome....being alive is the best thing on earth <3

    1. Rain is wonderful, but I do see your point. After a week of mud and picking up wet cats, I do wish for some sun. YES. Summer rain is awesome!
      Thanks :)

  4. This post was really beautiful. I love so many types of music, but I'm really into Cloud Boat and Florence + the machine right now. I'm in Spring, so I've just been drowning in school work :P. And I'm a night owl; I hate mornings...

  5. Being alive in the moment is the best. It's hard when you want to try to capture a perfect photo of it but then you realize that this is one tiny event that may possibly never repeat itself again. And it's raining? Goodness, it's the middle of Spring and it has snowed again. The snow pile was bad this year-- there was little snow fall-- and now Mother Nature decides to snow...

I can't decide whether I'm a morning or night person! I don't like waking up early or sleeping late, but I do love when I am up and out or up and awake for something that doesn't happen everyday. I love the variety in my life, and this little adrenaline rush (I think it is adrenaline rush) makes me feel alive!

    xoxo Morning

    1. It is! Not being able to capture anything properly with a camera is something I really hate, and I'm always worried that without a picture, I will forget.
It is! Autumn is awesome :) Snow sounds cool, but I guess after a while you just want sun :)
You don't have to be one or the other, I guess you can just take it as it comes. I've never thought of it that way before :)

    2. The thing with photos is that sometimes, I really wish that others, during those huge big moments, others would take photos. The small moments though-- I don't mind, and when I'm old and in a wheelchair where all I have with me is a TV screen, a window, and many cats roaming around through my home (I know I am going to be a crazy cat lady when I'm old) I will look through those photos and yearn for the simplicity and youthfulness those times had.

There was this one thing that I had read where this one country-- I think it was great Britain, but I'm not sure-- had to endure through a summer of snow. The snow didn't go away during spring, either, and if I had to endure through something as tough as that, I would definitely crave for sun! :)

      xoxo Morning

  7. Ah, that's such a pretty set of photos! (Your cat, as always, is gorgeous.) Been listening to Coldplay recently -- try checking out Alex McCarron's spring playlist on her blog?
